William Hill has been named the new sponsor of Super Saturday at Newbury Racecourse.

Super Saturday is a racing day that takes place every year, and William Hill will sponsor the event, with naming rights to the William Hill Hurdle for £155,000 ($189,751), the William Hill Denman Chase, and the William Hill Game Spirit Chase.

Super Saturday, one of the largest fixtures in National Hunt racing, will take place on February 8, around five weeks before the Cheltenham Festival.

Newbury raceday runners frequently compete in the Cheltenham Festival County Handicap Hurdle, which William Hill is now sponsoring ahead of the 2025 event.

Sandro Di Michele, William Hill's Director of Horse Racing, stated, "We're delighted to continue our involvement in some of the biggest days in National Hunt racing, and the roll of honour on this day at Newbury is right up there with the best."

"It fits well into an exciting time of year for us, as we prepare to renew our sponsorship of the Cheltenham Festival and enter our third season as the Official Betting Partner of Aintree's Randox Grand National Festival.

"Racing is in our DNA, and our new partnership with Newbury reflects our continued support for British racing. We believe it is critical to be involved as sponsors of some of racing's most important events, in addition to our dedication to provide our consumers with proper value.

"We gave more top prices on horse racing in 2024 than other large bookmakers, and we will continue to do so in 2025, as well as Best Odds Guaranteed on every UK and Irish race starting at 8 a.m. daily.

William Hill is the first bookmaker to give 'Non Runner Money Back' for this year's Cheltenham Festival.

"We also know the importance of Super Saturday for Cheltenham Festival hopefuls and with our Cheltenham Festival Non Runner Money Back offer you can back Festival fancies with William Hill safe in the knowledge that you'll get your money back if they don't make it to their target in March."

Jordan Coates, Head of Sales at Newbury Racecourse, added: "This new partnership marks William Hill's inaugural title raceday sponsorship here at Newbury. We have worked with William Hill for the previous ten years and are happy to be expanding our current relationship with the well-known business, which also owns two betting shops on the course.

"We thank William Hill for their support of one of our premier National Hunt meetings, which is guaranteed to provide high-quality racing action. We look forward to marketing the raceday alongside William Hill in the coming weeks."
