Brazil's general assembly will form a new union to represent sports betting and online gaming companies in São Paulo state.
The Union of Betting Operators and Online Games of the State of São Paulo (Sindbet/SP) will coordinate business involvement with regulatory and government bodies.
To participate, enterprises must demonstrate their presence in the São Paulo estate and provide necessary papers, such as company registration, proof of legal representation, and commercial affiliation.
The move comes while Brazil's gaming industry is undergoing a process of regulation, expansion, and institutionalisation.
Representatives from Sol Serviços de Intermediação, Betboom, and Stake Brazil signed the call to the assembly.
The formation of Sindibets/SP underscores Brazilian firms' increased efforts to consolidate representation at both the state and national levels.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid style, including in-person and online attendance options.
The union's official foundation, statute approval, election of its first executive board and fiscal council, as well as the definition of its territorial remit, are all on the agenda.
